All Tongkat Ali sold on tongkatali.org has been extensively lab tested to make sure we adhere to the highest safety standards.

Our Tongkat Ali extract is licensed by the Indonesian Department of Health as a natural healthcare product. To obtain this license, our Tongkat Ali has been extensively lab-tested for various parameters, including heavy metals.

We also obtained 3rd-party Certificates of Analysis from the University of North Sumatra, one of the top academic institutions in the country, as well as a scientific lab in Malaysia.

Our Tongkat Ali is harvested from deep inside rain forests in North Sumatra, hundreds of kilometers away from any industrial installations. For all heavy metals, we stay more than 10 times below the acceptable levels, set by the WHO and various government agencies.

Our 3rd-party testing heavy metals values from BioCorp Lab in Kedah, Malaysia, are:

Lead < 0.10 ppm (this is 100 times less than the upper limit set by the WHO)

Cadmium < 0.05 ppm (6 times less than what the WHO deems acceptable)

Arsenic < 0.05 ppm (20 times less than what the WHO considers allowed)

Mercury < 0.05 ppm (10 times less than what the WHO sets as upper limit)

The WHO Guidelines for Herbal Medicines (2007) are:

Metal Max Limit (ppm) in raw plant material

Lead = 10 ppm
Cadmium = 0.3 ppm
Arsenic = 1 ppm
Mercury = 0.5 ppm

For large wholesale orders, we provide batch-specific 3rd-party Certificates of Analysis.
