Too little tongkat ali has no effect, too much tongkat ali can cause side effects


Tongkat ali isn't a drug, it's a food supplement. At least this is the case with our true tongkat ali and tongkat ali extracts.

Mind you, more than 90 percent of all tongkat ali is fake.

Much of it is adultered with sildenafil citrate, other sildenafil salts, or sildenafil analogues, often in a cassava flour base.

Obviously, for such bootlegs, the dosage info for sildenafil would apply, not one for tongkat ali. Or, if the adulterant is a steroid, the dosage recommendations for that steroid (including the warning on liver damage).

Maybe you have researched tongkat ali dosage through other websites that rank much better than ours.

And maybe you have come across pharmacological websites like rxlist, medscape, or examine, even webmd. They provide dosage info on tongkat ali just as they do for beta-blockers, antibiotics, and other medicines. How many milligrams how many times a day.

But the hearsay writeups on these databases are of the mark. Their authors mostly summarize what others have summarized before them. Hearsay based on hearsay. Really just rumors, and not trustworthy.

First of all, tongkat ali is not a drug, but a supplemental food.

Basically, drugs are poisons with a therapeutic window. This means, if the dosage of the poison is small enough, it doesn't kill the consumer. But there is a profound effect in one organ or another.

Foods are different from poisons. Most people can consume food in generous amounts without ill effects (apart from weight gain).

Of course, for all kinds of food, some people are allergic. Some people are allergic to nuts, others to milk, or honey, or shrimps. Some people may be allergic to tongkat ali. This isn't predictable.

Allergies are faulty over-reactions of the immune system. And obviously, people who are allergic towards tongkat ali should not consume it.

Conventional wisdom recommends that whenever you consume something new, especially a food item with therapeutic attributes, start slow.

In our case, we recommend just 1 capsule of our tongkat ali or other extracts on the first day. The same on the second day. An allergic reaction would be intense. If such doesn't occur, you are not allergic and can use higher, normal dosages.

If you are not allergic to tongkat ali, there are no exactly set therapeutic dosages. Some people may feel good on 3 grams of extract a day, and others could need 8 or 12 grams a day for the same effect.

There is considerable tolerance, and accidental overdosages are quite unlikely. If somebody increases dosages to test tolerance, nausea would be the most likely first unpleasant result.
